Championing Small Business Growth

Kansas City’s entrepreneurial spirit is undeniable, and Jeremiah Wright with U.S. Bank is diving right in to support small businesses and drive meaningful connections. As the leader of the Kansas City Small Business Banking team, Jeremiah is passionate about helping entrepreneurs turn their visions into reality—offering strategic advice, tailored financial solutions, and a deep commitment to seeing local businesses thrive.

The Journey to Kansas City

Originally from Colorado, Jeremiah’s career has taken him across the country—from Oregon’s coastal communities to Iowa’s business hubs—before landing in Kansas City to lead U.S. Bank’s small business efforts in Greater Kansas and KC.

“Small business is the lifeblood of any community, and KC thrives on the passion and drive of its entrepreneurs,” he said. “The energy here is palpable, and the metro is growing unbelievably fast!”

Investing in KC’s Business & Nonprofit Communities

Beyond banking, Jeremiah sees tremendous opportunities to support the community at large—especially through nonprofit work. He’s already looking to get involved with Variety KC, an organization providing adaptive equipment and opportunities for children with disabilities.

He’s also already making great connections through the New2KC community, where an unexpected hockey game conversation with Mitch Lickey led him to discover a network of professionals shaping KC’s future – (Yes! That’s us New2KC!)

Building Relationships & Looking Ahead

Having worked in markets big and small, Jeremiah has mastered the art of connection. Whether it’s networking at events, mentoring business owners, or leading a dynamic team at U.S. Bank, he’s focused on genuine, impactful relationships that create long-term success.

Professional Goal: Continue to expand his team of financial professionals who empower local businesses to reach new heights.

Personal Goal: Fully immerse in KC’s culture and find ways to give back through nonprofit engagement.

Advice for Newcomers to KC?

DO IT! The investment in infrastructure, small businesses, and a collaborative spirit makes KC’s future bright. The only regret? Not moving here sooner.
